Odor NeutralizersiVFD and VTD Seriesj

Handles all types of exhaust air, from small to large volumes.

Features

Revolutionary deodorizing substances

Deodor odor-neutralizing systems utilize essential oils extracted from plants of potent deodorizing efficacy. The oils are filled into two types of time-releasing vessels: special permeable resin membranes and porous beads. Deodorizing particles volatilize from the vessels and emanate into the air at a certain pace, the same way they do from plant leaves in a forest.

Safe, nontoxic essential oil deodorizer

The deodorizing particles have absolutely no toxicity when inhaled, or even if ingested. They do not irritate the skin. They are not combustible or explosive.

Handles wide-ranging odor conditions

The graph above compares the range of odor conditions with which each type of Deodor system is compatible. The odor-neutralizing type handles most odor conditions aside from cases of high odor concentrations or high humidity. But they can be used as a second stage of odor control in such cases.

Wide range of applications

Deodor odor-neutralizing systems not only eliminate odors in emissions from ducts. They also feed the optimum amount of deodorizing particles into rooms with offensive odors and enhance the indoor environment. In brief, a single system eliminates outgoing exhaust odors and lingering indoor odors.

Compensates for odor intensity fluctuations

Odor intensity changes according to such factors as the season and work operations. Our abundant product line offers the optimal odor control unit for the situation, so a simple adjustment in the amount of deodorizer and emanation volume will compensate for such fluctuations. This eliminates@the need for large-scale installation changes.

Low cost

Deodor odor-neutralizing systems are much less costly to use than other odor control systems. The initial cost is from 1/3 to 1/10 of that of others and running costs, 1/2 to 1/5.

Energy saving

Deodor odor@neutralizers are designed to take full advantage of the mechanism of the exhaust systems in buildings. Some models donft even need an electric power supply and the models loaded with a motorized damper and a small deodorizer-emanating fan consume minimal electricity.

Easy installation

Deodor odor neutralizers are compact and do not occupy much space. Installation is easy. Wall or ceiling mounting is also a snap. This speeds up preparation time.

Easy maintenance

Maintenance operations are childfs play. All that normally needs to be done is to replace the deodorizer and clean the filter every two or three months. We accept orders for maintenance checks to maintain efficient deodorizing capacity.

No interference with other systems

Deodor odor-neutralizing systems feed volatilized deodorizer into exhaust ducts and rooms with offensive odors. Volatilized deodorizer contains absolutely no moisture. That means it does not rust the ductwork nor harm any other equipment. In fact, the volatilized deodorizer mixed in the air exterminates the odors permeated into the duct walls and the walls and floor of the room.

Model Selection

For Exhaust Air|Outlet nozzle inserted in fanfs negative pressure zone.
Note: A fan is needed if the nozzle is inserted into the fanfs positive pressure zone.

  1. Exhaust air OER (odor emission rate) calculation

OER = Number of Exhaust Volume Cubic Meters per Minute ~ Odor Concentration*
Note: For existing buildings, actual measurements of exhaust volume and odor concentration are used to calculate the OER. For buildings to be newly constructed, estimates are used.
*If the odor concentration fluctuates, the average odor concentration is used for the calculation.

  1. Model selection

Model OER Capacity = OER ~ 1.5 to 2
Allowing for odor concentration fluctuations, select a model capable of handling 150-200% of the OER calculated in T.

  1. Necessary amount of deodorizer

Necessary Amount = OER Deodorizer OER Capacity*
*Deodorizer OER capacity is the OER that one deodorizer pack can handle.

Beads Type 100g Pack 10,000
Beads Type 1kg Pack (IND) 100,000

Note: An even number of packs is preferable so that half of the amount can be replaced at the halfway point of their effective life.

  1. Number of nozzles

1 Nozzle per 300~300mm
E.g.) One nozzle for duct size 500~300mm, Two nozzles for duct size 500~500mm
The nozzle is preferably inserted longitudinally across the duct to enable maximum contact with offensive odor substances.
Shorten the nozzle to fit inside the duct by cutting off any excess length.

Estimated Odor Concentration

For exhaust air volume under 50m3/min
As a rule of thumb, use the following numerical values as the estimated odor concentration (for DRY 1 and 2) in the exhaust air of each type of factory.
Note: We recommend that actual odor measurements be made for existing buildings.
(Consult with us to take advantage of our odor measuring service.)

Deodorizing Efficacy Data

Odor concentration measurement data obtained by triangular odor bag method*
*Standard olfactory measurement method adopted by Japanese government

A main feature of our odor-neutralizing systems is that they change the very essence of malodors as they weaken them. The essence of malodors literally metamorphoses into that of a refreshing fragrance.
